    Bienvenidos a la página de internet de el New Mexico Land Grant Consejo.  El Consejo es una organización constituida principalmente por mercedes.  Para información en español dirígase a la página español.

    The New Mexico Land Grant Consejo previously was known as the New Mexico Land Grant Council/Consejo.  The name was changed in 2009 to avoid confusion with the state governmental body, the New Mexico Land Grant Council, newly created by the Land Grant Support Act (HB85) (.PDF).   (The Council, whose members overlap with the Consejo membership, began its work in December, 2009 and meets monthly.)  The Consejo adopted a resolution in 2009 articulating its goals and principles.
